Introduction to the job

As a Security demand manager, you are the linking pin between the business and security teams within ASML, engaging with the business and translating business cases to security use cases.

Role and responsibilities  

In the role of Security Demand Manager, you will act as a liaison between business teams and security teams. You proactively seek out the collaboration with the various business teams, collecting and documenting security demands, fostering a culture of security awareness and proactive risk management.

You facilitate clear communication and understanding to ensure an effective translation of business use cases into technical security requirements, clearly articulating security needs. You manage and oversee security projects from initiation to completion. Collaborating with technical teams as well as CISO, you ensure accurate implementation of security solutions and alignment with overall security strategy and compliance.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across the organization including Security, IT & Business teams. 

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations on internal security services to various stakeholders, including senior management and technical teams. 

  • Ensure regular reports for senior management and stakeholders on the status and impact of security initiatives are delivered on time. 

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve security processes and practices within the organization. 

  • Ability to identify security risks and to drive risk mitigation, dealing with resistance and risk appetite in cooperation with the Risk Manager/Business teams. 

Education and experience  

A background in Information Security as well as experience in a client service role in the IT domain, preferably in an enterprise environment is a must in this role. The ideal candidate will also have:  

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Information Security/IT/Cybersecurity/Risk/Audit is preferred. 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in information Security/IT domain. 

  • Preferred security certifications (e.g. CRISC, CISSP/CISM, CISA, etc.), but not required. 

  • Expert-level knowledge of MS Office tools required (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 

  • Expert-level knowledge of collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, Confluence, JIRA etc.) 

  • Knowledge on wide variety of security tools to address security demands such as DLP, CASB, IRM, Classification, Discovery scanning tools, EDR, SIEM etc. is preferred.

  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills.  

  • Strong analytical background, able to effectively translate business requirements to security user cases.

  • Projectmanagement skills, able to give direction, good at planning & prioritizing.

  • Fluent English (written and verbal). ​
