Exciting roles for academics with 5-10 years work experience and interest for high tech and supply chain. ASML is looking for a very ambitious talent who can play a crucial role in the supply chain processes related to ASML’s newest cutting-edge machines. You will prepare and manage the customer supply chain of upgrades, installations, relocations and service of sustain close to/ in the factory of ASML’s customers.
ASML’s supply chain department is continuously aiming to better serve ASML’s customers, by for example providing installations, relocation, complex upgrade and sustain services at the site of our customers. During these events (a significant) part of the machine is replaced by modules that allow for e.g., increased output and enhanced specifications. These on-site activities create extremely demanding requirements for the supply chain processes, driven by the sensitivity of the parts (cleanroom handling only), the strict needs to minimize machine downtime and the constantly changing specifications of machines.
All these processes ultimately enable ASML’s customers such as Intel and Samsung to continue improving the performance of the laptops, tablets and smartphones that we all use.
Ensure successful delivery of all logistic requirements and services in the region. Contribute to the logistic project team to ensure that the (thousands of) high-tech parts are delivered on-time, on-spec and at the right quality at the customer site. Meet the delivery requirements that have been agreed with the customers and ASML. In the context, initiate and drive continuous improvement to optimize logistical costs.
Role and responsibilities
- Collect/predict demand, turn to planning & delivery of material to support services at customer sites
- Development of operational plan (resources, local constraints and infrastructure) to ensure material availability progress to support regional customer service needs
- Execution of the plan and drive delivery of materials to local warehouses and manage materials delivery/return between local warehouse and customer site
- Respond to and oversee the process of incoming emergency orders from various locations. Enter and execute administrative controls in the SAP. Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to ensure that their needs are understood, communicated and fulfilled. Monitor and follow up with daily escalations
- Main contact for the local CS organization. Improve stakeholder intimacy within the local organization. Understand CS local operations and work in conjunction to improve.
- Meeting internal/external stakeholders, understand their requirements and manage to listen, clarify, and interpret into actionable items with end to end follow up
- Evaluate performance with all stakeholders and identify, initiate & drive improvements. Drive projects to further develop and improve end to end logistics processes and improve existing processes. Other relevant assignments according to business needs.
Education and experience
- Relevant Bachelor degree is a must (e.g. Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Business Administration, Supply chain)
- 5-10 years experience in a large international company, prefer Supply Chain or logistics positions, knowledge of business complexity, supply chain and relevant markets
- Customer interaction experience and relationship management to be considered as priority
- Highly analytical and able to organize and prioritize workload
- Trade and Customs knowledge within China, experience in warehouse operation and freight forwarding is better to have
- Familiar with ERP; SAP experience is preferred, data analysis skill is must (Excel, Power BI, Spotfire, Power planner etc)

- Knowledge of business complexity, supply chain and/or relevant industry
- A tactical thinker with strong interpersonal and communication skills, decision making skills, change management skills
- Can manage high dynamics, whilst having the drive to structure.
- Advanced analytical and complex problem solving skills, to identify relevant supply chain drivers, as well as perseverance and project management skills to actually generate impact.
- Be able to organize and prioritize workload, and work under pressure
