Introduction to the job

As a Project Lead Logistics, you will lead improvement projects and must be able to bring together- and quickly earn the support of project team members for a diverse range of projects. You will analyze logistic processes, implement and standardize solutions while involving the colleagues on the work floor.

Role and responsibilities

As a Project Lead Logistics you will lead improvement projects within the Logistics Operations and you will also contribute to cross-sector projects. You will continuously improve, secure and standardize operational logistics processes, including integration with SAP and other IT tooling.

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Design of logistics processes and systems

  • Implementation of logistics solutions, including supplier selection and training of employees

  • Optimalisation of logistics processes by analyzing processes and initiate improvements

  • Driving the structural improvement program within Operational Logistics in general

  • Implementing Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) improvements

As a Project Lead Logistics you will report to the group lead Logistics Engineering within the Logistics Operation.

Education and experience

To succeed in this role you should demonstrate experience with improvement initiatives in a logistics environment and a proven track record as a Project Lead.

As a Project Lead Logistics you will need:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in business engineering, business administration, industrial engineering, operational management or logistics.

  • 4 – 7 years’ experience in operational logistics & engineering, preferably in a high-tech, low-volume assembly environment

  • Project, Program and Portfolio management knowledge and experience

  • Hands-on experience with continuous improvements based on lean principles and effective change management

  • Track record of leading process improvement projects

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience as a Logistics Engineer is desired

  • Experience with ASRS is a pre

  • Experience with SAP-ECC/EWM, their Master data set-up and application is a pre

  • Experience with time study (MTM) is a pre

  • Work will partially be done in cleanroom (wearing cleanroom suit)

  • Day shift function
