Introduction to the job
As an IP searcher you play a key role in ASML’s activities and IP strategy.
Role and responsibilities
In this position you will support the patent activities and IP strategy of ASML, conducting searches and participating in projects in different parts of the IP generation and risk mitigation processes.
You will be working in a team of patent searchers in the Search and Competitive Intelligence group at ASML’s CIP department based in Veldhoven.
Your responsibilities are:
Conduct all types of searches (novelty, validity, clearance, collection, portfolio), analyze and communicate findings in a complete and concise manner.
Act as sparring partner for patent attorneys and other internal customers to identify their information needs.
Monitor patent publications and other literature in technical fields that may be relevant to ASML’s technology.
Communicate with tool suppliers to improve and customize tools to match ASML needs and strategy.
Education and experience
MSc degree in technical science (preferably physics, mechatronics or similar).
Patent information professional with 3-5 years of experience in patent searching.
QPIP certification is considered an asset.
Skills
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Affinity with lingual and legal aspects.
Strong English language skills.
Ability to work concentrated and independently.
Pro-active and customer-friendly mindset.
