Introduction to the job
Application engineer supports customer's process development and help performance improvement via application products / knowledge
Role and responsibilities
Process development support, and implement application functions
- Be able to understand customer needs, align clear problem description with customer, trouble shoot under time pressure condition
- Take ownership and initiative with prompt response
- Lead escalation and communicate with ASML experts internally, and act as customer interface
- Collaborate across departments for smooth trouble shooting
- Manage stakeholders for technical topics
- Have problem solving mindset
- Support EUV, DUV, Virtual computing platform etc
Education and experience
Bachelor
Master and/or 3yrs experience in semiconductor industry preffered
Skills
Technical problem solving, drive project or workstream to achieve customer goal. Develop strong customer relationship and maintain effective communication channels
- Make clear problem description including customer use case
- Be able to create user friendly technical documents using common words (not ASML specific term)
- Have trouble shooting skill, data analysis skill, excel, power point skills
- Have basic project management skill
- English requirements: TOEIC 600 +, daily conversation level
- English presentation, communication skill to lead technical conversation internally, and externally
Optional
- Semiconductor knowledge and experience, especially front end process
- Japanese skill JLPT N2, daily conversation level
- Lead technical conversation by Japanese in customer meeting
Other information
Work location for this position is Higashi-Hiroshima city. Onsite support is required and need clean room work sometimes.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
