As part of the ASML transformation, an ESG sustainability program management team has been created to manage the cross-sector and cross-BL projects and programs that are required to meet our requirements. We are looking for a program manager governance for this team.
 

Role and responsibilities

ASML’s strategy on ESG sustainability is built around 9 main themes:

  • 2 themes on Environment: (1) energy efficiency & climate action and (2) circular economy
  • 4 themes on Social: (3) attractive workplace for all, (4) responsible supply chain, (5) innovation ecosystem and (6) valued partner in our communities
  • 3 themes on Governance: (7) integrated governance, (8) engaged stakeholders, (9) transparent reporting

For all themes, cross-sector programs and projects are being defined to achieve the targets as set in ASML’s sustainability roadmap.

As ESG program manager Governance, you will be responsible for the orchestration of all projects related to the 3 governance themes. Next to this, the way of working in the team is to allocate project / program management capacity to ESG related activities as needed. This means that some flexibility on scope will be required, which in turn provides great opportunities to broaden your horizon within the ESG landscape.  

Main tasks for this role:

  • Program management for the three Governance themes programs and projects, incl. pro-actively defining and following up of actions associated, and in collaboration with your counterpart in the ESG sustainability strategy team, e.g.
    • yearly double materiality assessment
    • periodic updates of the prioritized ESG sustainability benchmarks
    • actions required to be recognized as a top performer on ESG sustainability by our main stakeholder groups (employees, customers, suppliers, shareholders, society)
  • Manage progress and quarterly reporting on the governance KPIs in ASML’s Strategic ESG KPI overview
  • Monitor ESG regulatory landscape
     

Education and experience

To be successful in this role, it is important to have decent knowledge of the way ASML is organized, and what the main processes are that are used in the company. This includes insight in the decision-making process, awareness of main stakeholders for ESG related topics and being familiar with the dynamics at ASML. You will be aligning with (sr.) managers within the different sectors and business lines. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate with >5 years of experience at ASML in a management position.

Regarding education, we are looking for MSc / BSc thinking level. A background in sustainability and affinity with this topic is appreciated.
 

Skills

To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

  • Relevant experience in project management and portfolio management
  • Knowledge of ASML way of working and organization structure
  • Existing network in the company in relevant areas
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to connect and motivate people
  • Ability to influence without power, provide structure and drive progress
  • Experience in stakeholder management at senior level
