Introduction

The work of the Dangerous Gas safety competence engineer consists of defining the overall gas safety system requirements to ensure ASML systems are both safe and compliant. Do you have experience with Gas Safety and compliancy? And are you ready for a new challenge?

Role and responsibilities

As Dangerous Gas safety competence engineer you will be responsible for translating international regulations and standards into specific safety requirements for the different stakeholders within ASML. Additionally you will support and review project designs to ensure that the safety requirements are meet. Dangerous gases safety competence has cross sectoral stakeholders, the job will require you to align with each of these stakeholders. To be successful you have to have a good understanding of the safety requirement and have the ability to communicate effectively to your stakeholders. Some of the tasks associated with this role are:
 

  • Research and interpret safety regulations and standards related to dangerous gases and translate them into clear requirements for ASML users.
  • Document the requirements in high level SAF documents and guidelines for the users.
  • Roll out the requirement to the relevant stakeholders within the organization.
  • Participate in project specifications and requirements reviews and where necessary advise projects on the best solution.
  • Generate training programs to ensure that sufficient dangerous gas safety knowledge is embedded in the project teams.
  • Working in multi-disciplinary groups on structural solutions for safety and compliancy within D&E and other sectors.

Education & Experience

  • 5-10 years+ outside experience within a Gas Safety / compliancy role or 3 years in an ASML Architectural Role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g. NEN/IEC, OSHA, ISO)
  • Bachelor or Master education level.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
