Interesting role for Electronic Designers with 2-4 years’ work experience in a multidisciplinary design team.

Your job in a nutshell is to define, realize, qualify, manage and maintain requirements for computer system products for both existing and new ASML products. We are looking for a designer with a strong technical knowledge on server, network and storage products.

Within Electronic Development the group Computer System Electronics is responsible for the computer system architecture (distribution, servers, storage, control boards, thin client, smart screens, network architecture and components).

We work in close collaboration with the Computer Systems Software group.

 

As a designer you collaborate in a team of electronic designers. You contribute to the definition of the next generation products as well as solving and managing issues in existing products. The concepts and products we focus on are a mix of COTS and custom designed products this in order to deliver computer solutions for existing and the next generation of control system and internal network for the ASML products.

 

The platform designer will report to the team leader.

Role and responsibilities

The Computing Platform Designer is responsible for the following:

  • Participate as an Electronic Development representative in a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Define, document and maintain requirements of various computer platform products.
  • Participate in the design and realization of computer platform products.
  • Define, document and execute tests to ensure that computer platform products satisfy the requirements.
  • Solve problems and/or manage problem resolution during 1st product integration.
  • Manage outsourcing of computer platform related modules.
  • Transfer knowledge to production and service engineers.
  • Support production and service as an expert
  • Interface with software designers.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor / Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, ICT, Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of- and experience with: definition and realization of multi-processor computer systems, networks and storage products.
  • Broad technical knowledge of: computer hardware, operating systems, communication networks and storage products.
  • Working in an Agile environment.

Other information

The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E the cluster Electronic Development (EDEV) is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions and modules within these products.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
