ASML endorses the importance of good corporate governance, of which independence, accountability and transparency are the most significant elements. These are also the elements on which a relationship of trust between ASML and all its stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers, shareholders and the public) can be built. ASML’s objective therefore is to be as open and transparent as possible about its structure, financial reporting, internal controls and procedures and ASML’s decision-making process.

ASML continually monitors and assesses proposals, recommendations, initiatives and regulations regarding principles and practice of corporate governance. ASML has taken the necessary actions to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the Dutch Corporate Governance Code.
